Every watch that comes in is looked at before any service is agreed on. We want to understand what the watch is, how it has been used, and what the owner hopes to address. This conversation shapes what work is appropriate. Sometimes the answer is a straightforward battery change; sometimes we notice something during intake that is worth discussing first.

Pricing is confirmed before anything is opened. If something unexpected is found mid-service — a cracked crystal that wasn't visible, a stem that's worn, a movement with dried lubricant where there shouldn't be any — we pause and raise it. The customer decides how to proceed, not the workshop.
